With a few good products and a little practice, anyone should able to turn a bad-hair day into a good one. Learning how to use styling products effectively very and achieving a good blow-dry at home are the first Lesson. The critical point is the “damp to dry” to stage when hair has a style “memory”. If you over dry your hair, spritz it with a little water form a plant mister.
1- Gently pat as much moisture away from wet hair as possible using a towel. Rubbing the hair will ruffle the cuticles and cause tangles.
2- Hair loses one-Quarter of its elasticity when it is wet, so gently comb it from the tips.
3- Tip your head upside-down and rough-dry your hair within the dryer on medium heat until it is 70 percent dry. Lift and separate the hair at the roots and through the length with your fingers to create volume.
4- When the hair is still slightly damp, apply the styling product. Then section the back, top, bangs and sides with big clips.
5- Starting at the back, unclip and style one section at a time. Use a brush to lift the hair at the roots, then pull away to dry the length. Spend most effort and time on the front and side sections — once the frame to the face looks good. The rest follows.
6- A fine blast of cool air on the hair, while still under brush control, sets the hair and closes the cuticles giving extra shine.
7- For the finishing touch add a bit of shine enhancer, a little pomade to get a choppy look or just spritz of hairspray to set the style.
ALWAYS RUN THE HAIRDRYER DOWN THE LENGTH OF THE HAIR SHAFT TO KEEP. THE CUTICLES LYING FLAT. TIP YOUR HEAD UPSIDE DOWN AND SPRAY HAIRSPRAY AT THE ROOTS TO CREATE AMPLE VOLUME.
